I use Thrizer for clients to submit to their insurance company for reimbursement for out-of-network costs. It’s super easy and clients don’t have to wait very long for reimbursement. Learn more about Thrizer by clicking the link at the bottom of this section.
As a practice, we strive to make our rates affordable, we are considered out-of-network with some insurance companies. Upon request, we can provide you with a receipt (‘superbill’) for you to provide to your insurance company to possibly receive reimbursement. You may also be able to use your Flexible Spending Account (FSA), Health Savings Account (HSA) or Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) for payment.
We are able to serve you better as an out-of-network provider due to these reasons:
With insurance, a diagnosis is required as a part of your record. This may affect different aspects of your life, for example: life insurance.
We are able to provide specialized and personalized services beyond the restrictions insurance companies put into place.
Insurance companies can limit the number of sessions you are permitted, even if premature termination would be damaging.
Without insurance companies we are able to keep your information private and confidential.
If you change jobs, you may be required to switch counselors due to insurance, even if it is not therapeutically beneficial for you to do so.

Yes, I do provide sliding scale as I believe all clients should be able to access mental health treatment. During our consult, please mention if you are in need of sliding scale as I do have some spots available. Pricing for sliding scale is anywhere between $75-140.

A good faith estimate is like an educated guess about the expected cost of therapy over a year. It is an estimate and the actual cost depends on other fees such as the cost of letter writing or court appearances, the length of sessions and treatment.
-
That is a great question! Ideally all therapy starts out weekly to ensure there is adequate support for managing symptoms and to build a rapport between the you and the therapist. This is particularly important when beginning treatment. As treatment progresses and skills are learned, treatment can be transitioned to bi-weekly, monthly and than a plan for termination will be made.
Most sessions are 45-53 minutes in length. At times, shorter sessions are clinically appropriate and will be discussed.
